So things are coming together not only with the wedding plans but also the post-wedding plans, or "honeymoon," if you will. This fall Kathy will be going on sabbatical and Brendan will be researching and writing his dissertation so we're planning a fun semester in Berlin, Germany! After the wedding we'll head back to the East Coast and fly from there to Berlin, where we have rented a great apartment in the neighborhood of Kreuzberg. You can see the exterior of the building here as well as an interior shot of the living room/dining room, study and door to the balcony. We love balconies! So we're excited about our trip. It will mostly involve research in archives, but we're hoping for a bit of pure fun travel to places such as St. Petersburg and Morocco or elsewhere in Africa.
